Certification Program for Technical Consultants
In our ongoing effort to provide our customers with state-of-the art technology combined with excellent servicing and implementation, we are proud to announce the availability of the SDL Tridion Certification Program for Technical Consultants.
The SDL Tridion Certification Program for Technical Consultants is a Professional Services initiative targeted at the SDL Tridion Technical Consultant community. The Certification Program demonstrates SDL Web Content Management Solutions' commitment to continuously improving quality. The SDL Tridion Certified Developer logo is a proof of quality for any SDL Tridion consultant.

The Program is targeted at SDL Tridion Technical Consultants and/or developers that are doing SDL Tridion implementations (both design and development) and/or implementing functional changes in existing SDL Tridion systems.
All Certified Consultants are given the right to use the SDL Tridion Certified Consultant Logo on CVs. Additionally, Certified consultants will be invited to attend the SDL Tridion Knowledge Days.
Program Outline
The SDL Tridion Certification Program for Technical Consultants consists of various steps:
Step 1 Sign up for the program
Step 2 Submit CV indicating SDL Tridion skills and experience
Step 3 CV analysis
Step 4 Participate in the training course
Step 5 Exam
Step 6 Certification
Step 7 Renew Certificate (every 12 months)
A consultant needs to have 12 months SDL Tridion experience in the past two years, including six months of SDL Tridion R5 experience to be able to join the Certification Training. We require the consultant to submit a completed CV form, which will be checked by an SDL Tridion instructor.
When a consultant demonstrates more than three years experience in SDL Tridion in the past five years, including one year in SDL Tridion R5, he/she can skip the training course stage and go directly to taking the Certification Exam.
Training Course
The Certification Training Course is an advanced training course for senior SDL Tridion Developers. All trainers work for SDL Tridion Professional Services and will have at least two years SDL Tridion R5 experience. The Certification Training Course is available at SDL Tridion HQ in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The Certification Training Course takes two days (including the Exam).
Exam
The final step in the Certification Programme is passing an online exam. The consultant must demonstrate his SDL Tridion Knowledge and Skills by answering 50 multiple choice questions.
The exam will take one and a half hours and the results are presented to the participants immediately after the exam.
The exam is in English. The Certification Exam is available at the SDL Web Content Management Solutions HQ office in Amsterdam (NL) only.
The certificate is valid for 12 months. One month before expiry, the certified consultant will be asked to send in a new CV. This CV will be checked against certain rules and if okay, the certificate will be validated for another 12 months.
The rules for Certification renewal are defined as follows:
At least six of the past 12 months must be spent on SDL Tridion projects;
Candidate must have participated in a minimum of two days' SDL Tridion classroom training (for example new SDL Tridion Outbound Email training or WebForms training) and/or Knowledge Days;
Candidate must have contributed to SDL Tridion Forum.
