SDL Tridion announced today that it has launched a new Web Site Standards and Integrity Solution. It is the first solution to provide an integrated platform for Web site standards compliance and Web site archiving. The solution ensures customers’ Web content is trustworthy and meets content guidelines across languages, regions and departments, as well as through the complete lifecycle, from creation to archiving.

Unilever first to benefit from SDL Tridion partnership with Magus ActiveStandardsTM ; New "Standards and Integrity" solution offers brand protection throughout the complete Web site content lifecycle

The solution has been developed from SDL Tridion’s Web site Assistant and Archive Manager tool, integrated with its capabilities around workflow and BluePrinting. Active Standards, provided by SDL Tridion’s new partner, Magus, a supplier of Web site standards compliance monitoring software, is integrated within the SDL Tridion staging environment. In combination, the Web site Standards and Integrity Solution automates centrally managed compliance monitoring of content creation and archiving of Web sites, across a company’s global Web presence. It is designed to improve customer experience and to enable brand owners to proactively manage the company’s online branding through its Web site. It also provides marketing communication specialists with capabilities for Search Engine Optimisation.

Simon Lande, CEO at Magus, commented: “As the Web continues to develop as a critical business medium, so does the importance of maximising Web site effectiveness. But our experience shows that in many cases businesses are actually reducing the impact and value of their Web presence. Despite the millions invested each year, they are not implementing Web site standards successfully. This solution will enable businesses to implement the framework to create and maintain a world-class Web presence. We are delighted to be working with SDL Tridion on this solution. The integration of Active Standards with the SDL Tridion staging environment, will allow customers to close the loop of content creation and standards compliance”

Unilever was the first to benefit from the combined expertise of SDL Tridion and Magus. Erik Aeyelts Averink, President at SDL Tridion, commented: “Unilever uses the Web Content Management solution from SDL Tridion in combination with Magus Active Standards automated solution to monitor brand standards and best practice Web site standards. This has made it possible to protect the brand value by enforcing standards, roll out Web sites more quickly, maintain consistency, fix errors and provide the Web site visitor with a consistent online experience. All of this is done across Unilever’s many Web sites around the world, and frees up resources at the company.”

Averink continued: “This solution puts the business in control of how and when they communicate with certain target audiences, and enables them to proof what was said. Based on proven technologies, it revolutionises the way Web site standards and guidelines are managed across a company’s global Web presence.”
